Adopt a Husky / Collie / Mixed (medium coat)

Husky / Collie / Mixed (medium coat) Dog

Breanne the Dog needs a home

Breanne's MYM designation is Wallflower

Breanne is a young, about 1-year old Husky/Collie mix petite at just under 35 lbs. She LOVES people (just afraid you may not love her back) & she enjoys playing with all her foster siblings. She’s super sweet & very pretty. These photos don’t do her justice – she is much prettier in person.

Breanne was dropped off at a shelter in KY when the owner decided she just didn't have time for her anymore! I'm glad to shed did since if you look at the photo of her below at the shelter & you can see she was TOO thin. We can also tell that she had been abused & was initially afraid of everyone & everything BUT once she arrived in my home & felt safe & loves playing all day with her foster siblings she has become more open. Now she smiles & wiggles her butt when you so much as make eye contact with her.  Sometimes she still isn’t quite sure people want to be friendly to her so she stands back & tries to read your reaction. All you need to do is invite her to come over & say "hi"  show her a bit of kindness & she is all yours.

Breanne dearly wants to curl up next to you but you will have to give her permission. I’ve been in rescue a long time – almost 14 years & she is showing behavior that she was super friendly & affectionate but people were very unkind to her so she was confused but has improved greatly now that she lives in a family setting. I can see how happy she is when she knows she can just relax & when she comes over to you that you will pet her & tell her what a pretty & good girl she is – her whole face & eyes calm down.

She may be nervous meeting new people for a while yet but the more time she has to be in a home as a family member & feels loved & accepted --- I believe someday she’ll be a happy-go-lucky girl & her memories of people being unkind to her will fade ---
If she sounds like the kind of girl you would love to bring into your life – please read our adoption requirements & if you can meet them you can apply online at this website.
